When I first saw this in Zangamarsh, I thought I so need to have this. In my head the scenes where SoC, JoC, Consecration ticks etc will restore so much of my mana were continuously being played on. Zomg. I can’t wait. So I spent a few gaming sessions in Hellfire Peninsular capping the towers and killing newbies tried not to get killed.
Meet Skaarj, the crazy warrior from Europe that’s decked out with 40% crit chance. But wait, there’s a catch! He only has 1000 plus attack power! Doesn’t sound so good eh? You are so wrong. Just check out his third video and you will see how his low attack power is not an issue at all! Not exactly geared up with all purples, but that didn’t stop him from pwning faces.

When TBC Beta came up, many were very excited as they started to see more and more pieces of Judgement set remake surfacing. However, I personally do not like the remake version at all. It looks like it was dumped into some bad washing machine, came out all faded and ugly. Granted though, I haven’t look into its stats in detail yet. Who knows someday I might just wear if for its awesome stats (if the stats are good)?
Lightforge, on the other hand comes with an awesome looking remake set. I really like how it looks in TBC. Wouldn’t it be great if Blizzard was to make this an actual set instead of random pieces that complement each other in looks? Also I would love to have it as an upgradeable set item from Lightforge or Soulforge. I mean, that would give incentives for people to run the old instances and collect the old set right? It also adds in some objectives for the casual players to achieve as they probably won’t have much time to raid 24/7 for good end-game items.
Now enough with the ranting, how about we just have a look at the stats of each item? Items stats and more photos after the jump.

Please don’t mind my exaggerative title. But do most of you still use Decursive anymore? I loved it to death pre-TBC where I could just spam the Decursive button whenever I see some colored texts on my chat that indicates that someone is being poisoned. It’s especially useful in PVP where I can’t be bothered who’s around me, who has been debuffed with what etc, and I would just keep spamming that key to remove the debuffs from me and someone else. Admittedly though, I use it most often on myself in PVP just because that it requires just one key instead of a left click + key.
Choo-choo… man train incoming! I seriously mean it though. Watch as Talyn from Garona [US] pulls like 200 over mobs in Gnomeragan and survives! Definitely not something that just everyone can do. I think I have so far only done Deadmines myself. :P Eitherway, do check this out. Very interesting video.
Just ran Hellfire Ramparts for my first time the other day with a decent group. I was a happy paladin with two blue drops and a few greens. Can’t ask for more. That itself made me look up on other drops from Ramparts, and as a result of that… those of you who come into Hellfire Ramparts later than me has just got yourself a nice listing of paladin loots in that instance!
If you have been wondering about the damage potential of Holy tree, I have got just the right video for you. Watch as Henri from Earthen Ring demonstrates his 3k Judgement of Righteousness, 3k Holy Shock, 200-300 ticks of Consecration… and what else? Pwn faces of course!
Going at a 40/0/21 build, you can have a look at his CT Profile for his build and gears. One piece of advice before you respec purely because of this video… It’s may take some efforts to get the same gears just to re-produce the damages. Think twice before you dump all your Ret gears just to start afresh with Holy tree.
A healing/tank hybrid. Every class needs some capacity to deal damage, as that is the primary component for the solo game, but Paladins have always placed fairly low on the damage spectrum.
